harley & family

Jane called me a couple of weeks ago with what she titled a 'strange request'. She wondered if I would be interested or willing to photography Harley, her dog. He's getting old and she wanted to make sure she had some 'good' photos! So, without further ado, here is Harley, Jane and Bob:

Jane, I'll have the rest posted soon!! I hope you love them!

Leigha & Josh -- Maternity

Leigha and Josh are going to have a baby!! She will arrive sometime in the middle of March... Prior to her arrival, we wanted to capture her mommy's super cute tummy.

Check them out!

Cacia & Rusty

Check out this super cool, super cute couple I had the opportunity to photograph on Saturday. Cacia (said k-see-ah) and Rusty are getting married in the Florida Keys in June, so I got to shoot their engagement session! We had a blast basking in the warm sun -- who would have thought? The weather Saturday started out rainy and cold, but as you can see it ended on a warm, sunny note...

I have to send out many thanks to my good friend Katherine Williamson, for showing me this awesome location! It blows my mind that this location is in Hartwell!!

Rebecca and Matt

Saturday I had to pleasure to 2nd shoot with a friend of mine, Chris Guzzardo. Check out some of my favorite images below:

I had the pleasure of following this cutie-pie around town for couple of hours the other day. Isn't she adorable?

one month challenge

I've made a goal to not eat out at a restaurant for a whole month. I started this challenge on January 9th, after watching Oprah and Suze Orman. Suze Orman challenged America to not spend money for one day (I can do that!!), to not use a credit card for one week (can do that, too!!) and to not eat in a restaurant for one month. I don't really like eating out very much, but I do [eat out] for the convenience of it and because I have a hard time thinking of meals that I can make at home. So for the next month, I am going to try thinking and planning meals for a few days at a time and when I'm out and about, I'm going to bring lunch or snacks with me.

I'm sure I will save a lot of moola, and I'm sure to eat healthier! Maybe I'll post some images of meals that I prepare...

If you are interested in more information, Oprah and Suze Orman are giving away Suze's newest book (a electronic version), Suze Orman's 2009 Action Plan, online, until January 15th. Click here to download.

sweet potatos and asparagus

Henry and I had dinner with Logan and Erin a couple of weeks ago at Longhorn Steakhouse, where we ordered a couple different meals and shared them between the three of us (those of us that consume 'real' food!). While we were waiting for our meal to come, we exhausted Henry's restaurant patience, so by the time our food was delivered, we was fussy, screechy and bored (bored being the problem!). During a stop at our table (I was walking Henry around), I grabbed a stalk of asparagus (it was the only thing I could pick up and walk with :-)) and Henry immediately grabbed for it. I thought, 'what the heck, what can he do with it, he probably won't like it', and handed him the harder end piece. To our amusement, he loved it! When I tried to take it away to give him a fresh piece (I wanted to continue to eat, and he'd totally squished/mashed the piece he had), he screamed! While we finished eating, he went through 6 pieces of asparagus, screaming every time I replaced the piece he was working on with a new one.

Tonight, I made asparagus for myself (Jeremy does not like it) and thought I would see what Henry thought of it now, a few weeks later. As you can see from the pictures, he loved it just as much tonight as he did at Longhorns!

His cute bamboo bowl and spoon! Notice the half chewed/sucked on piece of asparagus.

Unfortunately, the asparagus piece was pretty short and you can't see it, but he had it clasped tight!

We moved on to sweet potatoes for a minute...

Henry is into feeding himself. He looks for the food on the spoon and then puts it in his mouth. Pretty amazing!

He spotted me drinking and had to have some!

Wait! I wasn't done yet! More water!

Don't you just love how he holds the glass?

Back to asparagus...

hangin' out

I've been feeling bad that I don't take enough pictures on a daily basis, so I've made it my New Year's Resolution to take some pictures everyday. So, this is today's fun...

You can't imagine the nonsense I had to do in order to get a laugh.
This is my favorite! I love how his arms are blurry; he's always flinging them about!
